
For years, doctors around the world believed that depression during pregnancy is not due to hormonal changes. However, in the recent years, after so many research works, doctors in different parts of the world has found out that pregnant women feel depressed due to hormonal changes. In general, pregnancy period is the most ecstatic period for almost all women. However, due to hormonal changes, they experiences different mindsets. Their mood keeps changing or wavering. During this period if any other cause adds to it, they become depressed.
At least two among ten pregnant women will be facing this problem. So be frank to your doctors or midwives, so that they may help you out by some mental exercises. Above all, tell you people at home how you feel and ask them to help you. Because, in most cases the family problems are the ones which leads to depression. Try to keep yourself relaxed. If you think that your job may pressurize you, then it is better to take a break. As far as possible, keep your mind healthy and out of tensions. Because, depression may affect the fetal’s growth. It may directly reflect on the brain development of your baby. So have a relaxed pregnancy period.
