Worries of an expectant dad

When the expectant dads hear from their partners about their pregnancy, an unknown fear arises in their mind. They start feeling that they are pushed into a new unfamiliar, mysterious, adventurous world.
In general, we can say that the expectant dads have fear about sharing their partner’s love with a new member, even though it is his baby.
The next fear is about the security, whether his earnings will be well enough to support both his wife and the baby to be born. Because in most families there will be a change from two incomes to one income. Now the single salary has to serve three members. Therefore, the expectant dad has to be really a strong person both mentally and financially.
The next common one is fear of performance. Whether he can be a good dad for his baby? Can he perform his duties properly as a dad? Whether he will be able to guide his child properly in studies and in life?
Next is his fear of pains. Not his body pain but that of his wife’s. It is a natural human nature that we cannot tolerate our loved ones health problems. That to during the pregnancy time, it is very difficult for the men to see their wives suffering with back pain, body pain, headache, nausea, vomiting… Most men cannot withstand the labor pain and blood of their wife.
Then comes the fear for relationship. Almost all men will have fears about how the child will behave with him. Whether his baby will come to him with a smiling face? Whether his child will stay for longer time with him? How soon the child will recognize him as its dad? Main fear is about his rights towards the baby. Because most of the women will always keep a checkpoint for their husband, in moving with the child. Like don’t touch when he is sleeping, wash hands before touching the baby, don’t kiss the baby on its cheeks, so on…
